Does the four hook IV Pole come standard with the Full E-Bed?

The Full E-Bed comes equipped with a high quality steel single hook IV pole which can be credited towards the four-hook IV Pole if you decide to upgrade.

What is the lifespan for E-Bed System products?

Designed specifically for repeated use over the course of numerous years. This is not your typical emergency cot or bed. High-quality materials and the care with craftsmanship ensure they will  last for years and years. An additional benefit is that due to its design, you can replace most of the parts individually over the years if something does wear down without the need to purchase an entirely new bed.

How much weight can a bed hold?

The Full E-Bed has been load tested to safely hold up to 500 lbs. Can be increased to 750 lbs with the addition of bariatric bars.

The ADA Cot has been load tested to safely hold up to 500 lbs

What is a bed made of?

The bed itself is constructed with Medical Grade stainless steel which prevents rusting, a high-quality, thermoformed plastic top that can be easily decontaminated, and a fire-resistant foam mattress (CFR 1633 Code Compliant). Not to mention some heart, grit, and a little love.

The accessories are also constructed with the same high-quality stainless steel and plastics.

How long does it take to setup a bed?

3-5 minutes.  Once you are familiar with the product, setup should be about 120 seconds per bed.

As a bonus, no tools are ever required for assembly.

Does setup require multiple people?

No it does not.  We do recommend a two person set up, however, we know that’s not always possible and in that case the bed can set up solo quickly and with relative ease.

How does it store?

The beds are designed to fold flat and are stackable up to 10 high. The storage footprint is 81” x 31” x 3”. We also offer the E-Box which allows 5-10 beds and accessories to be stored together in an easily transportable rolling box. The Box bottom, insert, and lid are powder coated, and each section equipped with a protective gasket seal.

Can the E-Bed be transformed into other products?

Yes,  we thought you’d never ask. Due to the unique and clever design of the Full E-Bed, it has the capability to transform into a workstation, pediatric bed, and cadaver rack with the addition of simple accessory kits. Not to mention if you already own some of the aforementioned products you can turn those into an E-Bed with a customizable accessory kit.

Are these beds for indoor or outdoor use?

Both.  In addition, casters come standard on most of our products.  We carry options for those too including 4”, 5”(standard), and 6” all- terrain styles.

Can they be decontaminated?

Yes, unlike other fabric or mesh platform beds, both our base and mattress are easily wiped down and disinfected in seconds after each patient use.   Made of easy to clean materials and antimicrobial fabric.

What is the advantage of the E-Bed over a regular emergency cot?

Higher quality materials, increased durability, easy movement with locking casters, antimicrobial mattress, increased weight capacity up to 750 lbs, and longevity for repeated use.  This product can withstand today’s emergency and tomorrow’s disaster. We offer peace of mind that whether it’s a global pandemic or a localized earthquake, our bed will always be ready.

Is the bed ADA compliant?

No, the E-Bed is not ADA compliant, but our ADA cot was designed specifically for that and is compliant. With a 19” bed height and an anti-tipping design, it allows for a smooth transition from bed to wheelchair.

Are you available for product support?

Yes, we exist to help our customers. We can be reached via phone or email during business hours. We're also available to give product demos via virtual conferencing and with a little heads up, can accommodate after-hours or weekend support. We’re here to help always because we know emergencies don’t stick to typical business hours.

Do you offer onsite setup help/demonstration?

Yes, we do*. For smaller quantities we can often accommodate on an expenses-only charge provided reasonable logistics. For larger orders in the US we are available for free onsite set up guidance and demonstration.

* applies domestically and for a limited number of days/hours to be determined on a project by project basis.

Can the bed be adjusted?

Yes. The adjustable backrest provides multiple positioning options to find the most comfortable position for the patient. The bed platform can also adjust up and down as well depending on the patient’s needs.  Pretty much the only thing on this bed that can’t be adjusted is the patient’s attitude.

We also offer an adjustable four-hook IV pole which helps the medical staff to easily adjust the IV pole height depending on their needs.

Do you have customer testimonials?

Of course! While we are proud of our bed and its quality construction, it means even more when a customer comes to the same conclusion.

Clients from multiple Emergency Response, Hospital and Government agencies sing the praises of E-Bed with its unique capabilities and durability.

What role did you play in the Covid pandemic?

E-Bed System played a critical role during the Covid pandemic providing beds both Nationally and Internationally to meet the demand. Despite considerable material cost increases with stainless steel throughout 2020-2022, E-Bed System placed people first before profit and intentionally did not raise their prices until after the pandemic. This ensured hospitals and other healthcare facilities had access to E-Beds for the lowest price possible to administer the best care possible under emergency circumstances.

Has the Bed ever appeared on TV?

Okay, we know this question isn’t frequently asked, but we still wanted to brag. Our product has appeared in the movie “Aloha” starring Bradley Cooper, the CBS show “Elementary”, and we have been working with a current Netflix show who is interested in our product.  We will keep you posted  because who knows, stranger things have happened.
